Vision
Claret College of Isabela Library will serve as the center of Information services for the intellectual development of the students through reading materials, references that will facilities research knowledge and technical know’-how, skill for technology trends and changes leading to the global opportunities.
Mission
Claret College of Isabela Library shall provide access and services for enhancement of learning and adaptation to changes of our educational system, which aims to transform students to become academically competitive, with sensitivity to the needy and helps to promote justice, peace and preserve the integrity of creation.
Goals
To provide a quality, sufficient and responsive library services to enhance and sustain student’s holistic growth and development.
Objective
1. To provide an excellent access to information with a suitable environment for the researchers.
2. To strengthen the library services in this time of Pandemic by reaching out to students at the comfort of their homes.
3. Develop library collections focusing on subject area which supports the academic programs offered.
4. Develop library facilities, installation and subscriptions for e-books for online-access of the library users.
5. Digitalized / automate library services for faster access of the library information services.

General library rules and regulation
- NO Mask and NO Face Shield NO ENTRY (as SOP of CCI upon entering the school campus)
- Upon entering, alcohol spray bottle is provided in the logging-in table, (PLEASE USE YOUR OWN BALL PEN IF POSSIBLE and BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL) but still ball pens and alcohol bottle spray are provided in the table. After logging-in your data’s in the logbook provided, please spray your hands with alcohol again.
- NEVER TAKE-OFF YOUR MASK inside and outside the library.
- Chairs are provided with 1-meter distancing, avoid displacing chairs inside the library, Practice Social distancing at all times.
- Leave your personal belonging such us handbag, briefcase etc., on the place provided on your own responsibility. The library disclaimed any liability for any loss or damage.
- Do not underline or mark any book, mutilation of library material can lead to heavy fine and a disciplinary action against the patron.
- Courtesy must be practice in the library specially when borrowing or returning books or library materials.
- After reading place the books on the drop box provided on top of the baggage counter.
- Complete silence should be observed except for brief and subdued talk with the library staff.
- Keep your mobile switched off or on silence mode within the library premises.
- Library staff may ask visitors to show their ID at any time.
- Smoking, including electric cigarette, use of prohibited alcohol or other prohibited drugs is strictly prohibited inside the library.
- Drinks or any beverages and foods are not allowed in the library. Sleeping and loitering is also prohibited.
- Short pants and other inappropriate dresses are strictly not allowed in the library. (Please see dress code provided in your manual)
- Library staff reserves the right to inspect bags or other personal property when students enter or leave the library.
- Student with disabilities may ask library staff for reasonable accommodation.
- Do not relocate furniture, fixture, computer hardware and other library items. (Anybody caught, will be subjected to disciplinary measures).
- Newspapers and magazines must be returned in their proper places
- The teacher’s/ deans / principal may suggest purchased of certain books to the librarian. Requisition slips for this purpose are available at the librarian’s desk.
- The foremost rule of the library is self-explanatory and that is SILENCE and the library is only for research and study. Discussions must be done outside the library.
- Secure a visitor’s I.D. at the Guard on Duty (for alumnus).
- Log book is served at the entrance of the library.
- Present your Validated School I.D. or alumni Id for alumnus and PERMIT TO USE THE CCI LIBRARY (If with reservation) issued by your librarian.
- Library material such as encyclopedias/ books/ fiction/ magazine/ newspapers and other library materials are not allowed to take outside the library, research will be done inside the library only. (applicable only to alumnus)
- Library reservation form is available at the librarian’s desk (Please follow Reservation guidelines indicated in the form).
- Students with complied reservation forms are prioritized for limited users are only accommodated at a time. (15-20 users /setting). (additional to NEW NORMAL Setting)
LIBRARY VISITOR’S HOUSE RULES
Visitors should comply with the library house rules. These were created to offer a pleasant and calm study environment in the library and to keep the place in optimal condition. The College/School librarian (or any representative) is entitled to remove any visitor who is obstructive for others, or whose presence raise fears that the library could be damaged in any way.
REFERENCE AND USER SERVICES
CIRCULATION AREA, FILIPINIANA, and RESERVED SECTION
The length of borrowing materials by the students/ faculty/ and staff based on the collection and in the need of the school and the availability of the reliable shelves.
Obligation of the barrower
- The borrower should take care of anything that she/he borrows from the library.
- The borrower shall be liable for any damage or loss items on loan, from the moment that it is handed to the borrower, the person’s request, until the moment when the item on loan has been returned to the library, irrespective of how or by whom the damage or loss was caused.
- In case of loss or damage, the library shall bill the borrower for the replacement cost of the item.
- The borrowers who repeatedly fail to meet their obligations to return or renew borrowed materials on time lose their borrowing privileges until they fulfill the obligations with respect to the library.
Rules on borrowing library materials
CCI faculty/ staff and students with Validated School Identification card, can barrow book and other library materials.
- Borrowers can borrow books during the specified service hours of the library.
- A faculty can borrow at least 5 titles per subject to be used as references
- General reference books, periodical and in-demand book cannot be borrowed for overnight, for library use only.
- Reference books and textbooks with limited copies are borrowed and read only inside the library. However, they can be taken out during weekends and returned on or before 9:00 am on Monday or first school days of the following week.
- All books and other instructional materials borrowed from the library should be returned every end of the semester or before signing of clearance.
- LOST or DAMAGE of the library materials borrowed shall be paid by the borrower at the prevailing price or may be replaced upon mutual agreement of the barrower and the librarian.
- Only faculty/ staff with no overdue loans can borrow books form the library.
How to Borrow Library Materials
Reference books are open on shelves and are arranged according to the Dewey decimal classification system. When books you want is not available on the shelves, inquire to the person in-charge, maybe the book is out of moment.
GENERAL REFERENCE
General reference books are for room use only; they are arranged according to type’s example dictionaries/ encyclopedia/ Almanac/ yearbook/ directories/ Maps and Atlases.

- Students, Faculty and staff of CCI are entitled to borrow books and other instructional materials.
- Students, Faculty and staff may borrow books and other reading materials upon signing of book card and leave the book card to the librarian.
- General reference shall be read only inside the library.
READING AREA
- The reading area has adequate space to accommodate at least 5% of the student population in one seating.
- Proper lighting and ventilation in all areas of the library.
- Appropriate and functional furniture is furnished for the convenience of the users and, at the same time, encourage maximum use of the facilities.
- Emergency exits, fire extinguishers, built-in emergency lights are available and easily accessed.
BOOK RENTALS
Only officially enrolled students are entitled for book rentals, Books for rent are with minimum fee and the rented books must be returned before signing of clearance for a student to cleared in the library. Entertained at the widow only.
PHOTOCOPYING SERVICES
Only books with limited titles are allowed for photocopy with minimum 10% per chapter of a books. (Copyright and plagiarism protection)
LIBRARY RESERVATION
Procedures for requesting to use the Library / Filling the Reservation
Reserve the library three (2) days before the scheduled activity.
2. Secure a library reservation form from the librarian/staff.
3. Fill out reservation form properly.
4. The teacher, program head, dean, and the librarian for confirmation must sign the form.
5. Present the form to the librarian/staff for recording and schedule.
Guidelines on the use of the library.
1. Reservations can be made through call or text, however, a reservation form must be filed out for confirmation. A Reservation can be considered confirmed only when it bears the signature of the librarian or his/her authorized representative(s).
2. Scheduled reservations are given the priority.
3. Notice of Postponement/cancellation should be forwarded to the librarian / library staff at least one (1) day before the scheduled activity.
4. Please take note the library services scheduled days and hours, except holidays.
5. Food and drinks is discouraged to bring inside the library.
6. Please follow health standard protocol inside and outside the library.
ONLINE BOOK REQUEST
This service is designed to provide access to resources fitting to the new normal. Students and faculty may send their queries regarding available book titles, reservations, appointments suggestions and recommendations to be purchased via e-mail or library social media account. (Claret College of Isabela-Main Library is the Official Facebook Account)
LIBRARY BOOK RETURNS
Once the student contacted the librarian/ library staff, the student can drop the returned rented books in the box provided on-top of the table outside the library. There and then the librarian/library staff can process his clearance.
